Thursday June 23 was Salute's Annual Dinner... very much enjoyed by all.
The dinner was at Chez Madeline’s in Northvale, NJ.
The menu included escargots, mussels, soufflés and all things French.
And concluded with a discussion about a possible exhibit in the restaurant in the late Fall.

Michael Norris, PhD was a former educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
He has been giving lectures for over 20 years and is founder of Armchair Art Tours

DEC 2015 - SUBTRACTIVE MONOTYPE WORKSHOP - Instructor: Tai Hwa Goh- Master Printmaker
Location: ACNNJ; This was a hands-on Workshop that demonstrated Subtractive Monotype Printing. A Subtractive Monotype is a print for which ink is applied to a plate and gradually removed to create an image. It is then run through a press to create a print on printmaking paper. (You may make one at home without a press).

MAR 2015 - THE STUDENT EXHIBIT - The NNJ Art Center and Salute to Women in the Arts are sponsoring this exhibit. We will be presenting each student accepted into this exhibit a certificate of participation, at the Reception, and scholarship checks for the few juried winners. SALUTE has awarded three scholarships of $200 to graduating students from New Milford High School. The scholarships are open to students who plan to study art in college. This is our fiÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂfth year working with the recommendations of their art teacher, Lauren Bettini.

FEB 2015 - We had a successful 'Mosaics & Dick Blick' workshop led by Joe Terrone at the ACNNJ.
Thirty members participated. Thank you Bonnie Deutsch for planning it.

JAN 2015 - “Home” Exhibit took place in January at the ACNNJ. Thirty members participated. The exhibit honored former president Cornelia Baker (1989-1990). Members talked about their memories of Cornelia. Prizes were donated by her generous family; sons Todd, Brinton, Sam and daughter Claudia.
- The Awards were presented by Claudia who attended the event. Recipients were: First Prize -Alice Jacob, Second Prize -Alice Stoler, Third prize –Marjorie Weinberg. Honorable Mention Awards went to Carolyn Kaldy, Jackie Collier, Marlene Bremer and Robin Fruchter. Congratulations to all of you. A special thanks to Sandy Frech who made this event special by contacting the Baker family.
